Hot on the heels of our last two releases; the new HTML and URL to DOCX service and an updated version of our capture software, which has updated browser base code and fixes for improving rendering quality.
Comes our updated web scraper. We have ripped out the old third-party browser we used for rendering and used our own browser base code, with code for automating the browser built on top. This means our scraper is now using the latest browser code and no longer crashes on some web pages, as was the case with the previous version.
GrabzIt’s online Web Scraper tool also now calls this new automated browser rather than using an Internet Explorer instance to render HTML. This should ensure the tool displays to the user what the Web Scraper will see, avoiding any browser inconsistencies.
