Using GrabzIt with Wordpress - where to enter api key & secret

Ask questions on how to use GrabzIt’s various plugins in your application or website.

Hi!

I have installed the wordpress plugin, and added the tag around the link I want to use, but I get this error: GrabzIt Error: You must specifiy your application key.  I know where to find the key but where do I put it?  There are no settings in the plugin so I am a bit lost :-/

Hope someone can help!

Best regards

Rakel

To set your application key just go to the admin screen then settings on the left hand main menu, then select GrabzIt Settings.

Thank you very much for the super quick reply!

I have another question; is it possible to use GrabzIt in such a way that when hovering over a URL, the website thumbnail appears?

Yes, but not using the Wordpress plugin. You would need to use the Link Preview plugin.

Excellent!  I have installed a plugin that allows me to add the code in the "blog-or-cms-install.txt" to my footer (I remembered to add the api key).  But I'm a bit confused about where in the html to add the class grabzit-preview.

My link looks like this:

<a href="https://www.mywebsite.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Click here to go to my website</a>

Where does the class go?  (Sorry for the noob question!)

Just add the following code to your link as shown in the information page.

class="grabzit-preview"

Is there a limit to how many times this can be used in an article?  I have 6 links in an article, the first 4 work, but the last 2 don't show any thumbnail.  I even tried to copy one of the links that work and put it at the bottom of the article and it didn't work either.  What to do?

Please can you link in the article?

THe page is: https://www.hafdal.dk/legstadaleit/index.php/2018/09/23/sigurdur-einarsson-18-feb-1859-26-nov-1901/

The first "Sigurður Einarsson" at the top and the second "Sigurður Einarsson" have the identical HTML code.
